From painting, I have always been attracted by the fact that with simple materials such as a brush, pigments and a canvas, one can create a space charged with its own soul/energy.

I have been experimenting with different techniques, being encaustic (virgin wax with resin of Damar worked in hot) together with oil and on canvas, with which I identify myself more and I have worked in my work. I started painting portraits of friends and self-portraits. After passing through the University of Fine Arts, with all the theoretical and technical content it entailed, I started the series Cuadrados as a need to simplify, so that the simple forms and color, invited to clean the look of so much visual and conceptual information with which we live.

The works of Landscapes and Volcanoes arise from a longing for horizons and distance, since in the city our eyes travel very short distances.

The series Collars and Spiders was born after being a mother and moving to the country: the care, the patience that develops when caring for a baby, the company of nature, together with the silence of living there, led me to paint these paintings that invite us to become absorbed in their small beads and plots so that we can rest, even for a moment, from ourselves.

Braids and Pollen are series that I painted aware that the theme I had chosen was difficult to transfer to the canvas: the communion of the human being and nature, of the earthly and the cosmic, of the visible and the invisible... of that intimate and necessary connection between all this that generates and feeds the creative and life itself and we tend to forget in the midst of our contemporary hustle and bustle.

In 2015, the EnMaLa Gallery in Lanzarote proposed me an individual exhibition and as I love that wonderful volcanic island, I painted Magma dedicated to it, where the sea, volcanoes and flowers are intermingled as a metaphor of creativity and Art.

Synchronies and Circles are two series that are again based on colour and simple forms. I am working on them in the hope of transferring to the canvas the sensation of flow, of continuous movement, of encounters and losses, of dark moments and bright moments that make up a life.

My work is not linear, I go and come back to these themes again and again through time, which makes them intermingled and thus complementary. That is why the presentation of the work on the web does not follow a chronological order nor is it grouped by series.
